For ten years, Professor Jeff Hughes and his wife served as youth and young adult pastors across North America. During that time, Professor Hughes thrived on finding innovative ways to engage their communities.
Since then, Professor Hughes has also left his mark in the world of business. A decade ago, he recognized the growing disconnect between traditional education and the evolving needs of the workforce. Driven by this vision, he founded Skill Samurai to equip children with the future-ready skills they’d need to thrive. Today, Skill Samurai boasts 30 franchises across 7 countries.
In 2023, he identified a need for more accessible franchise opportunities. This led to the creation of Amplify Brands, which is his current venture aiming to make business ownership a less risky reality for more people.
Professor Hughes is passionate about equipping business students with the real-world business development skills and experience they need to succeed.
