Kingswood University Counselling Centre is conveniently located and confidentially positioned on the campus of Kingswood University.
The Centre’s serene atmosphere lends itself to the ideal location for mental health counselling. The facility is outfitted with a variety of confidential meeting spaces to accommodate individual, couples, family, and group counselling.
Our Counselling Centre provides treatment that is honouring to the client’s own worldview and provides the opportunity to examine the
biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual elements of life in a way that allows them to develop strategies for well-being.
The KUCC is staffed with competently trained and experienced private practice professionals, who offer best-practice treatment in a variety of mental health concerns.
Diana Billings
MA in Counselling Psychology
Diana Billings has experience working in church ministry for 16 years, specifically with children, adolescents & within the area of music. She completed her M.A in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. While focusing mainly through the lens of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, she also uses approaches in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy. She currently has availability to work with individuals, couples, and families, ages ten and up.
Lindsey Budovitch
MA in Counselling Psychology
Lindsey Budovitch works with adults and teenagers (grade 9 and above) who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, coping skills, spirituality, major life transitions, stress and burnout. Lindsey also provides grief counselling, by caring and providing informed support to youth, and adults who have someone close to them who has been diagnosed with a serious or terminal illness and youth and adults who have experienced a death.
Marleigh Genereaux
MA in Clinical Mental Health Counselling
Marleigh Genereaux holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Liberty University. She is passionate about helping others by walking alongside them as they navigate all that life holds in the pursuit of healing, health, and wholeness.
Jay Guptill
MA in Counselling
Jay has served in full time ministry since 1985, in Canada and the United States. He obtained his Masters in Counselling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2001 and is currently licensed as a Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C). Jay loves to come alongside ministry leaders to offer support and resolve problems that keep them from their full potential.
Sharon Guptill
Sharon was raised in a pastor’s home, and fell in love with church ministry from a very young age. In 1985, she and Jay were married and have been in ministry together for 37 years. In 2015, she was ordained into the Wesleyan Church. She also has been trained as a Life Coach. Her desire is to help people tap into their full potential and accomplish goals by inspiring, empowering and equipping them.
Allen A. Lee, Ph.D
Ph.D. in Professional Counselling MA in Counselling Psychology in Marital and Family Therapy
Allen Lee has been in practice for more than 25 years, Allen’s training includes ten years as a psychotherapist in the Department of Psychiatry of a large community hospital; seven years on adolescent and adult in-patient units and three years as Senior Therapist of a partial hospitalization program.
Allen’s work with individuals, couples, and families is primarily through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Christian worldview.
Katie-Lynn Mansvelt
Kate graduated from Kingswood University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion: Pastoral Major. She took her degree and started focusing on the practical side of following Jesus every day. Working inside and outside the church, she has over a decade of experience helping people create spaces to strengthen their souls. No matter where she is, Kate is a spiritual coach at heart, always present and trying to sense what God is doing in the room. This is a place where you can come as you are, and know you’ll be met with grace, with a person who wants you to have a transforming experience with God more fully. Kate truly believes it’s not about a formula and has a creative approach in helping you.
Julie McLeod
MA in Counselling Psychology
Julie McLeod has her Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Julie works collaboratively with her clients to develop goals and a treatment plan to meet their unique needs in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. She offers individual counselling for adolescents and adults to treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, self-esteem, boundaries, and more. Her approach is primarily through the lens of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a Christian worldview if the client wants that incorporated into their treatment.
Erin McMackin
MA in Counselling Psychology
Erin McMackin holds her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She works with teens (12 and up) and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress, and spiritual and relationship concerns. Erin works from a person-centred and cognitive behavioural approach. She has a love for people and a desire to help them improve their coping skills and quality of life.
