Encounter 2017

Encounter, a dynamic youth event, is designed to engage you in worship, through music and the Word, and to challenge you to explore the call God has placed on your life. It also introduces teens to Kingswood University, to see if this may be the place God is leading you to train for ministry.

BrentRev. Brent Ingersoll is Lead Pastor at Kings Church (formerly Kings Valley Wesleyan Church) in Quispamsis, NB. Pastor Brent has led Kings Church through its transformation into a multi-site congregation and is one of the fastest growing churches in Canada. Under Brent’s leadership, Kings Church is raising up future leaders, addressing child poverty, and ushering people into a dynamic faith in Jesus.

Pastor Brent’s passion is to see the Church mobilized to make a significant impact for God. He believes that this is possible through the transformative power of Jesus Christ at work in those who follow Him. It is this passion, together with Brent’s energetic approach to empowering believers, that we fully believe Encounter will be an unforgettable event for you and your youth!

Pastor Brent currently lives in Quispamsis, NB, with his wife Melanie, their daughter Ava, and their sons Aden and Alexander.

The Dunamis Worship Team is made up of a group of Kingswood students who serve in our Dunamis Rallies.

Dunamis Rallies are a new brand of youth rallies: youth rallies with a twist! A weekend-long event, the team from Kingswood will spend time ministering to and investing in the youth through music, games, a message, and discipleship.

The same team of Kingswood students and staff will lead workshops which will equip the students in some form of ministry training- evangelism, drama, apologetics, dance, global missions or music. The students will also get a chance to put what they’ve learned into action, as they participate in local service and ministry projects- serving in the name of Jesus in their own communities. We want to see youth filled up and sent out on mission for the Kingdom!

For more information, contact the Enrolment Team or fill out this form!

Encounter 2017

Leaders and Parents

We are so excited that you are helping teens reach their God-given potential! Encounter is a dynamic youth event designed to engage youth in worship, through music and the Word, and to challenge them to explore the call God has placed on their lives.

Our goal for Encounter is that students:

  • Encounter each other
  • Encounter Kingswood
  • Encounter the Lord (most importantly)

Teens will also participate in fun activities, tour Kingswood, and meet new friends. Encounter is meant to introduce students to Kingswood and the atmosphere on campus. Those attending are encouraged to immerse themselves in campus life, by staying in the residence halls and eating in the dining hall.

Kingswood University is a Wesleyan university located in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada. It is the only Wesleyan higher-education institution in Canada.

*Remember that your teens will only be entered into the draw for SOMETHING AWESOME if their registration forms arrive no later than 5pm AST, Friday, September 19th, 2017.

Breakfast included.

Fairway Inn (506-433-3470)
